The "White cockscomb" is a premium tea, one of the most famous "rock" oolongs of the Wu Yi mountain. Its name comes from the yellow colour of its tips and first leaves. This tea is only dried in a coal furnace for four hours, in order to preserve its freshness. It delivers a generous, fruity liquor, with an acidulated and lingering retro-olfaction. We recommand to prepare it in gong fu cha, with 6 to 7 g in a gaiwan, or with a Yxing teapot.
Tea and health
According to Chinese traditional medicine, wulong (oolong) blue-green teas are good for the cardiac system, help reduce fatigue by stimulating the nervous system, eliminate toxins, favour digestion, regulate the urinary system... A daily intake of these teas (6 to 9 g) has relaxing and anti-stress effects, also supporting weight loss by improving the metabolism of lipids.
